Word's from God

From Sunday School:

So Pilate, anxious to please the crowd, released Barabbas to them. He ordered Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to crucify him.

The soldiers took him into their headquarters the courtyard, which is the praetorium."> and called out the entire battalion.

They dressed him in a purple robe and made a crown of long, sharp thorns and put it on his head.

Then they saluted, yelling, "Hail! King of the Jews!" And they beat him on the head with a stick, spit on him, and dropped to their knees in mock worship.

When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.
Mark 15:15-20

From Service:

Then Jesus called the crowds and said, "Listen to what I say and try to understand.

You are not defiled by what you eat; you are defiled by what you say and do.

"Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes out of the body.

But evil words come from an evil heart and defile the person who says them.

For from the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all other sexually immorality, theft, lying and slander.

These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands could never defile you and make you unacceptable to God.
Matthew 15:10-11,17-20

My Daily View

This is my daily view. Today it was my only view, except for the cleaning, cooking, running errands, taking care of Luna and of course reading my bible :)

First you have the computer: for editing pix, checking facebook and writing blogs.
Family pix: for inspiration
"Keep Calm" picture: for encouragement
Bills and papers: for reading and sometimes paying :)
"Queen Mom" mug with coffee: for energy
Cell phone: for those that need to get a hold of me.
That's about all I need to work :)

This morning I saw a beautiful blue jay outside my window.
I grabbed my camera and it flew away.
There were so many birds out there this morning.
I was able to get a pic of the cardinal though.

Too bad I didn't get the blue jay, It would have gone good with Luna and her Guthrie blues.

Well Today......

After Luna got out of school, we ran all around town looking for a Blue Jay shirt for her. Tomorrow is "Blue Jay" day at school. We went to 7 stores before finding it! At Friend's Market we didn't find a shirt, but pick up a cute bow. Then Stacey told us to go across the street to Unique Design. So we headed across the street, no one was home, so I called up Jarrett. He was actually at Wal-Mart picking up some supplies, so we decided to hang out until his assistant came in. Not a minute later he drove up and we got to look and their collection of shirts. I love how they have so many designs. They had a really cute pink one, but not in Luna's size, so we went with the original blue color.
Thanx guys for the shirt and bow, your shops are both awesome.
I'll post a pic tomorrow, after Luna is all dress up in her blues :)

When we got home, I was greeted with the smell of burnt beans. I only burnt them a little, but man can they stink up a house quick. Later I have the recipe that I used the beans for.

I started editing the last wedding that I'm working on. I didn't get too much done on that today (more work for me tomorrow), cause my sister-in-law contacted my to help her make some magnets to send out with her wedding invites. So I started working on that. I think I found one they like. Also I was on the hunt for a pattern to make flower girl dresses for Luna and her cousin D. I think we found that too, I just need to go find some fabric.

Well, I promised you a recipe, so here it is.
Tostadas with beans, cheese and chilies :)

Well first off, don't burn your beans!!!!
I use black beans, better for you and taste better, after you boil your beans refry them. Saute onions in a lil oil first, then add your beans.

The cheese is Mexican soft cheese. Crumble the cheese in a bowl with chopped onions.

The chillies are Guajillo Peppers, they are a dried pepper, purple in color. These peppers are sweet with little heat. Boil the chillies down in a pot of water about five or six of them. After the chillies are soft, blend them with a little fresh water until they are the consistency of salsa. After that saute some onions in a pan and put the chilies in there. Let it come back to a boil.

Now for the tortillas. Fry corn tortillas in a lil oil until hard like a tostada.
Top with beans, cheese and chillies, and enjoy!!!

Well, it wouldn't be a day without Luna doing something funny. Some how she got a hold of a piece of Juan's pistol and put in on her finger for a ring. I think she was embarrassed to admit it was stuck. Juan had to get it off with some dish soup. Juan thought I was crazy for capturing the moment, but I want to remember it and show Luna when she is older and remind her of all the crazy things she did.
I love that girl, never a dual moment with her!!!

Luna's Wacky Words on Wednesday

Mom, turn down your music, I can't concentrate on my reading.

While eating supper:
Me: This does not taste good. Luna: well, you picked it.

Our house looks like ice cream, cause it's white.

Jesus was a baby, now he is all grown up like us.

Mom, do you know where my phone is, it just underppeared (disappeared).

Me: Luna, please don't touch things that aren't yours.
Luna: (while walking up to me and giving me a big hug) well, this is mine.

Today was also career day. Luna wanted to be a camera girl (photographer).
So mommy got busy with a sharpie.
It was either that or a football player, a tool girl, or a driver :)

My friend is moving.....

To Connecticut!!!!
Oh how I will miss her!! She won't be leaving for a couple of months, but it is still sad. I am praying for their new chapter and we'll be here waiting for them to come back in a year!! Hopefully we can go visit while they are gone, and see the beautiful northeast :)

Anyway, this wonderful friend took me to breakfast this morning for my b-day!

Look what she got me!

We had a wonderful time catching up, cause we haven't seen each other for a week and a half, due to her and her lil baby boy being sick. Luna has been praying for them every day to get better. Yesterday when she was praying for Baby N, I told her N is better now, so thanx for praying for him. She answered, "Well, I'm praying for him, cause he is going far away " :(
It has been a joy watching N grow and seeing him and Luna play. They are so great together. They both have BIG personalities and are so funny to watch.

While we were waiting to go pick Luna up at school, we headed to one of our local antique shops. I love shopping for lil goodies. Those store are like your very own "I Spy" book. I love the treasure hunt! While there, Jazzy the shops masticate, gave N a big kiss and made him laugh!

A & N drove me over to pick Luna up at school. We wanted to surprise her with Baby N. Well, he fell asleep on the way, but she was still surprised and loved that they came to pick her up!

Well, I better get off here and staring editing :) I'll leave you with a happy pic. Polka-Dots!

Word's from God

From Sunday School:
Keep alert and pray. Otherwise temptation will overpower you.
Mark 14:38a

From Service:
"Tearing Down the Idols of Our Hearts"

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness.

They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them.
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.

Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.

And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.

So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies.

They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.

And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.

They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents.

They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy.

They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

Romans 1:16-32

I. Heart idolatry begins when we refuse to honor God as supreme ans live by His revealed truth.

II. Suppressing divine truth leads to unrighteous ungodly living, which incurs God's immediate and ongoing wrath.

III. The divine wrath includes God's "giving us up" to the dishonoring acts of our mental, moral, and social lives.

IV. The only hope for escaping divine wrath (now and in the final judgment) is faith in Jesus Christ as our only God and Savior.

V. This same faith restores true worship and reorders our lives by the righteousness we receive form Jesus.

It's Saturday!

Luna and I went to a friend's wedding this morning. It was beautiful! I got to dance with my lil girl. She loves dancing so much, not only did she dance with me, but the bride, the groom, the groom's mom, two other little people and a few other people who I'm not sure who they here :) I enjoyed spending time with her today.

After we left the wedding we ran a few errands. We went to Target to get a 10x10 frame that I "knew" they had. When we got there the only 10x10 frame they had was a shadow box, so I passed it up and headed to Hobby Lobby to see what they had. They did not have any 10x10s but I bought a 12x12 instead. Their frames were 50% off so I ended up paying only $5!! I love their sales!

We were running out of gas and didn't have any cash, so we headed to Wal-Mart to get some "cash back" I pick up some lunch and went to check out. While in line, I pick up a magazine. I think it was Better Homes and Garden. In there was a cute idea for kitchen curtains. Loving the idea so much, and not having any curtains of my own, I headed to one of our local antique shops. I found what I was looking for!!!
Here is what I found and the finished product!

The Devil's Beatitudes

I can across this, this morning while cleaning out my closet, hope you enjoy :)

If the Devil were to write his Beatitudes, they would probably look like this:

Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted
to spend an hour once a week with their fellow Christians in Church
--they are my best workers.

Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked
--I can use them.

Blessed are the touchy, with a bit of luck they may stop going to church
--they are my missionaries.

Blessed are those who are very religious but get on everyone's nerves
--they are mine forever.

Blesses are the troublemakers
--they shall be called my children.

Blessed are those who have no time to pray
--they are easy prey for me.

Blessed are the gossipers
--for they are my secret agents.

Blessed are those critical of church leadership
--for they shall inherit a place with me in my fate.

Blessed are the complainers
--I'm all ears for them.

Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and not yourself
--I've got you.

Luna's Wacky Words on Wednesday

After school one day:
Mommy, I was really, really, super duper good at school today..........but just a lil bad.

While I was combing her hair:
I have a brain! (over and over again)

I don't ever ever want to go to school again, cause the teacher says zip our mouths.

Me: "Luna, please pick up your clothes."
Luna: "No, cause my brain hurts."

Dad's 50th B-day

Usually mondays are "Grandma's Day", and we would have spent most of the day with her. But today was my dad's 50th birthday. My brothers and sisters (all 10 of us) were able to get together for dad's b-day. It was nice to have everyone together, especially since dad had a close call with death a few weeks ago. I thank God for my dad and I'm glad to have him with us for a little while longer, hopefully for a LONG time. Love you Daddy!!

We had some yummy ribs, homemade rolls, and brownie cake and ice cream :)

We both are celebrating big years this year.
50 for Dad
and 25 for me.

Later we went to grandma's and had posole for supper. Man we have had so much good food and lots and lots of sugary things this weekend. I need to get back on track with the healthy sutff. Untill next time. Good night everyone!

Words from God

I woke up this morning with this scripture on my mind.

I look up to the mountains---does my help come from there?
My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth.
Psalms 121:1-2

and a few verses from sunday school.

"And everyone will hate you because of your allegiance to me,
but those who endure to the end will be saved"
Mark 13:13

"However, no know knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. And since you don't know when they will happen, stay alert and keep watch. The coming of the Son of Man can be compared with that of a man who left home to go on a trip. He gave each of his employees instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. So keep a sharp lookout! For you do not know when the homeowner will return---at evening, midnight, early dawn, or late day break. Don't let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning.
What I say to you I say to everyone: Watch for his return!"
Mark 13:32-37

It's Saturday! More B-day Fun and some V-day Fun!

My mom came and got Luna this morning, said they needed to do something. So while I was working they were making a b-day cake for me. Mom said Luna made it all by herself. Mom's carrot cake is my favorite recipe, filled with pineapple, nuts, raisins and carrots.

While Grammie and Luna were busy making my cake, Juan took me out for an Italian lunch to celebrate both my b-day and v-day.

Thanx Luna that was so sweet of you to make this cake for me.
I'm very proud of you!

I love my family!

don't you love my candles 2 and 5 :)
and my card was so cute. It says,
"Mom, put your finger in here, now open this card all the way, you are now pointing at the world's best mom! Happy Birthday. Love Luna.

On the way home we ran into a friend that I haven't seen in a while.
It was good to see you, L. Love ya bunches!

When we got home we exchanged V-day gifts.
I love you Juan!

What a busy day!

Today I turned 25! Not only that, but it was Luna's first V-day party at school and my cousin's wedding reception!!

So we woke up early and got Luna in her cute V-day outfit.

I took her to school and came back home to wait for the party to start. I got some editing done of my cute lil nephew.

Then headed to the party.
It was fun watching them exchange V-day cards.

After Luna got out of school, my Momma took me to lunch at Inspirations Tea Room! We had some yummy food. Mom had Walnut Berry Salad and I had Spicy Chicken Artichoke Panini

We had fun tring on tea party hats!

My sister works in the kitchen, she is awesome!

Thanx for hooking me up with the yummy carrot cake!!

Then we headed home. On the way mom filled up my gas tank, Thanx MOM!! I pick up Luna then we headed over to her best friend's house to deliver her V-day card.

Well then it was back home to work a little and later we delivered some proofs to a client then back home to get ready for my cousin's reception. Here they are. They are so cute together!

Well I'm home now. It has been a long day, good all in all. I'm just wanting for Juan to get home from work. Goodnight all. Thanx for keeping up :)
